1870 1 Teiichiro is born in Yokohama on February 28 to Sakujiro (father) and Kou (mother) Shoda.
1875 6 Enters the Tatebayashi Nishi-Jinjo Elementary School.
1879 10 Graduates from Tatebayashi Nishi-Jinjo Elementary School.
1884 15 Comes to Tokyo in preparation for entering Tokyo Higher Commercial School (now Hitotsubashi University).
1887 18 Enrolls in the Tokyo Higher Commercial School Preparatory Course in July.
1891 22 Graduates from the Tokyo Higher Commercial School Regular Course in July.
1897 28 Establishes the Tatebayashi Jitsugyodanwakai (Society of Tatebayashi Businesspeople).
Marries Kinu Shoda on December 8.
1900 31 Establishes Tatebayashi Flour Milling Co., Ltd. (Tatebayashi Seifun) in October and is appointed executive director.
1901 32 A test run of the plant is conducted on May 3; this date is established as the anniversary of the company's founding.
1907 38 Tatebayashi Seifun merges with Nisshin Flour Milling Co., Ltd. (Nisshin Seifun) in November.
1908 39 In February, Nisshin Seifun Head Office is transferred from Tatebayashi to 2-11 Koami-cho, Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
1912 43 In August, Nisshin Seifun Head Office is transferred to 1-2-4 Koami-cho, Nihonbashi, Tokyo, which Nisshin still owns today.
1913 44 Embarks on his first overseas trip (an inspection tour of flour milling businesses in the United States and Europe) on January 28.
1924 55 Appointed the president of Nisshin Seifun in June.
1926 57 The Tsurumi Plant (known worldwide as an exemplary waterfront plant) is constructed.
1929 60 Embarks on an inspection tour of flour milling businesses in the United States and Canada in June.
Establishes Oriental Yeast Co., Ltd. in June.
1931 62 Establishes Nippon Eiyo Shokuryo Co., Ltd. (now Nosan Corporation) in August.
1934 65 Establishes Nippon Bolting Cloth, Co., Ltd. (now NBC Meshtec Inc.) in November.
1936 67 Establishes Nisshin Seishi Co., Ltd. in February.
Establishes Chosen Seifun Co., Ltd. in August.
Subsequently establishes Kohtoku Seifun Co., Ltd. in Manchuria and operates flour milling plants in northern China.
Appointed the chairman of Nisshin Seifun in December.
1937 68 Embarks on an inspection tour of Korea and Manchuria in May.
1940 71 Establishes Chugai Kogyo Co., Ltd. (later Nisshin Feed Co., Ltd.) in April.
1941 72 Establishes Nosan Kagaku Kenkyukai (now the Foundation for Dietary Scientific Research) in July.
1942 73 Appointed the chairman of Tobu Railway Co., Ltd. in November (served November 1942-May 1949)
1943 74 Appointed the eighth president of the Josuikai Alumni Association of Hitotsubashi University in May.
1946 77 Called to serve as a member of the House of Peers in July.
1947 78 Resigns as chairman of Nisshin Seifun in June.
1949 80 Appointed as advisor to Nisshin Seifun on June 30.
1955 86 Baptized on December 10.
1957 88 Commemorates the milestone Beiju (88th birthday) celebration.
A commemorative statue of Teiichiro was erected on the grounds of the Tsurumi Plant.
