Message from the President

The Nisshin Seifun group is helping to build a sustainable society by helping people to enjoy healthy and fruitful lives. Kenji Takihara, Representative Director and President, Nisshin Seifun Group Inc.

Following our corporate principle to “contribute to a healthy and fruitful life for all,” the Nisshin Seifun Group is supplying our customers with a wide variety of products and services through our business activities, while also working to realize a sustainable society.

Our environment has changed at an extremely rapid pace over the past few years because of a range of factors, including global climate change and geopolitical risks. The role played by globally active companies is becoming increasingly important. The Nisshin Seifun Group is not afraid of change. We are working under Medium-Term Management Plan 2026 to adapt to this new era through the adoption of a basic policy calling for the integration of ESG factors into our management strategy, and the implementation of this integrated strategy through adaptation to social trends. We are actively pursuing initiatives centered on the sustainability priorities identified as our materiality.

Within these sustainability priorities, we will place particular emphasis on activities to address environmental factors that could have a major impact on global sustainability. Specifically, we aim to address climate change by achieving net zero emissions of CO2 at Group-owned facilities by 2050, and we have created a roadmap that calls for a 50% reduction compared with fiscal 2014 levels by 2030. Measures currently in progress include the installation of solar power facilities and the off-site procurement of electric power generated using renewable energy.
We aim to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through these environmental measures, and through actions to address material sustainability issues.

Additionally, we are applying human rights due diligence procedures to our business operations, including supply chains, and taking steps to mitigate or eliminate any human rights risks identified.

The Nisshin Seifun Group is working to provide solutions to social issues through all of its business activities. Our aim is to create a cycle in which society benefits from new value created by those activities. We are determined to continue to earn the support of our stakeholders by being a corporate group that is helping to build a sustainable society through embodying our corporate philosophy of “contributing to a healthy and fruitful life for all.”
